July 4th Tabletop Decor with Duck Tape®

Hello friends, today I’m sharing a July 4th Tabletop Decor post I did with Duck Tape^® .  I wanted to create some fun July 4th pieces for my table setting this year using some patterned and solids duct tape.

If you follow my blog then you know  I use foam pieces a lot on my site.  Pairing up the foam pieces with duct tape is a perfect match and you can create so many beautiful things together like this Easter Bunny craft I did a couple months ago. When I had the challenge of coming up with a July 4th craft using Duct Tape, I knew immediately that I wanted to incorporate foam into this project.

So let’s get started!

July 4th Tabletop Decor Supply Needed:

• Red Duck Tape
• Blue Duck Tape
• Flag Duck Tape
• Foam Cubes
• July 4th Spray
• X-Acto Knife

Getting Started

After I received my duct tape in the mail, I headed over to the craft store to find my July 4th Sprays! I’ve never used sprays before so I was hoping they had some in stock.  They DID!!

Step 1 – Pick Out Duck Tape

Duck Tape has lots of patterns you can choose from, but I had to go classic Patriotic color scheme for this project.  I was excited to use the flag pattern.

Step 2 – Wrap Duck Tape Around Cube

To start off, wrap your duct tape around the bottom edge of your foam cube.  Make sure to smooth down as you wrap your duct tape around.

Next, wrap the duct tape around the top.

Finally add duct tape to the center of the foam cube.

Step 3  – Wrap Other Side of Cube

Now repeat the process on the other side of the foam cube.  When your finished, the whole cube should be covered in duct tape.

They look great!

Step 4 – Add Festive Sprays

Now the fun part.. Adding the sprays!

I pulled out my “handy dandy” X-Acto knife  and cut an X so that I can add my sprays easily.

Firmly press the sprays into the foam. You can add as many as you like.  I even added a couple flags I had on hand.

I’m just LOVE how these turned out, don’t you?!?! They will be so festive on my tabletop.

Finishing Touches

Now that I’m finished with this craft I can start decorating my table.

These pretty starfish I got from Pier1 a couple years ago.  They were Christmas decorations, but I always thought they looked more appropriate for July 4th.
