My recipes - Rice soup

Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
Servings: 2-4 (2 servings for main, 4 servings for starters)

100g of brown rice 1 broccoli 2 tbsp of vegetable oil 1 chicken stock cube 1 L of water Spices & herbs: 1 clove of garlic or 1 tbsp of garlic powder 1 small/medium onion or 1 tbsp of onion powder 1 tsp of ground black pepper salt to taste any herbs you like; I would suggest chilli flakes.
Cooking instructions:

In a big pot, heat up the oil on medium heat. Add the onion and the garlic. Cover for 5 minutes. If you are using powdered garlic and onion, you can follow the following steps without covering for 5 minutes.

Dissolve the stock cube in the water. Add the hot stock to the pot. Increase the heat to high and bring to a boil.

Add the rice and cook it for 10 minutes on high heat.

While the rice is cooking for 10 minutes, slice the broccoli. After the rice has cooked for 10 minutes, reduce the heat to medium-high, add the broccoli, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked.


It can be serve with chorizo. If you prefer your broccoli to have more of a bite, add it in 5 minutes before the rice is fully cooked.
